LEMON - a Library of Efficient Models and Optimization in Networks
Subject: Creation of a C++ template library aimed at
combinatorial optimization tasks, especially those working
with graphs and networks.
Thematic research groupsPIT - Protein Information Technology group
Mathematical analysis of 3D protein structures, amino acid sequences,
and protein-protein interaction networks. Protein interaction network
generation and alignment. System modeling in nanodiagnostics and
nanomedicine. High throughput protein-ligand docking. Data mining of
biological databases.
Subject: in recent years it became apparent that a large number of the
most interesting structures and phenomena of the world can be described by
networks. From a practical point of view, sparse networks are more
important, but at present we have more complete theoretical results for
dense networks. The group investigates the properties and behaviour
of both types of networks.
